This Group was founded as part of the 9/12 Project
in conjunction with the National Tea Party Movement.
Let's face it... many of us would have never thought that we would be active like this. It is new territory. Most of us are family people who work hard for a living and like our privacy. We are just your every day Americans. The fact remains, if we want to be heard we have to get out there and be seen in order to make our voices heard. We can only accomplish what we need to if we continue to grow and educate others.
April 15, 2009 was the annual Tax Day Tea Parties. This year there were larger Tea Parties and more of them than any other year however. People are no longer willing to sit back quietly. Those who would oppose us or want things to continue on a path to bigger government have done everything they can to slam us (typically resorting to name-calling as a desperate reach because they have no intelligent way to argue with us). What they will not expect is a continued string of Tea Parties and Rallies that will let them know we will not just disappear and allow them to continue on their current track as they have planned. This is a Country OF the People BY the People. We will work with other Groups locally, State-wide and Nationally to move in a sweeping motion to battle issues and make stronger statements and take our stands.
May 30, 2009 was our first Multi-Group Rally after the Tax Day Tea Party.
We were called to action by a related Washington State Group to make a stand against Universal (Socialized) HealthCare. Our turnout was good but it could have been better. Some people had other plans and that is understandable; others were concerned (admittedly) about going to stand across the street from another Group in opposition to their permitted Event. We need to rise up in one voice. They honestly do not know what to make of us and when we are together it is easy to stay positive.
Thank you to all who attended.
October 2, 2009 We had a Tea Party in Bremerton, WA.
It was thrown together and announced at the last minute but we still had several local Patriots attend. The kicker was the giant Milk Carton - Norm Dicks, you can figure out the rest. Looking forward to the next one!
October 30, 2009 The Tea Party Express blew through our State and we went over capacity at the Expo Hall at Puyallup Fairgrounds. The Fire Marshall was threatening to shut it down because the crowd was huge.
Candidates for 2010 joined us and gave us a chance to speak with them about the issues. They know we will not be voting blindly.
